It has come to our attention that your child has abilities beyond the normal. We will take the child off your hands and instruct them in their abnormalities. They will be taken to a secure location free from the prying eyes of others and out of the grasp of the military who would otherwise experiment on them. We will come to pick up your child within 72 hours.

 The school is hidden in a country field, surrounded by foxglove flowers. The town's population is miniscule--not that it matters. Once you get inside, you don't get that much freedom to wander around.
The student's aren't crazy, just different. Maybe they can read your mind or breathe under water? All that I know is that they should be the super hero's of tomorrow. But no one believes those stories anymore.
So pack your bags and get going to small town Ohio. Upon graduation your time here will mean little, hiding is the only option for people like us.
