While the girls and the boys had their own uniforms specifically designed for their gender, Theo had over-stepped the boundaries and opted for the boy’s uniform rather than the girls. Now, one would think that it would be impractical, due to her breasts, but Theo had fixed that problem: she had bound her breasts flat with medical tape. She was also lucky—some would say she was cursed, but Theo didn’t care what they thought—that she had no femininity what-so-ever. So with her short brown hair, some parts of which had been bleached by the sun, deep, compelling emerald eyes, broad shoulders, curve-less, athletic build, low, alto pitched voice, and male mannerisms, Theo pulled off the male look almost perfectly.
Though she didn’t really know why, Theo had ventured to the music hall after her classes were done for the day. Perhaps it was to see if something there would tickle her muse and get her started on a new story, as she had finished her last one? She didn’t know, but she did know that something would happen, something interesting. Maybe she would even meet some new people, or maybe she would get to know an acquaintance better. As Theo mused this, she had made her way to the door of the music hall, and had opened it. Just as she was about to enter the room, her ears caught spoken words and her eyes moved to the stage, where a pretty blonde girl—her name was Marie, if memory served—was seated on the piano bench. Marie had greeted someone, and Theo’s eyes now shifted to look at this person. It was another blonde girl—whose name was Johanna, if Theo remembered correctly—who was seated in the chairs for audience members.
’Hmm, I should leave them be,’ Theo noted to herself, quickly closing the door once more. She then slipped her hands into her pockets, and continued on her way down the hall. It seemed she would need to look for something to inspire her muse elsewhere. ------------------------------------------------------ OUTFIT: Boys school uniform WORDS: 407 TAGGED: Whomever wishes to respond ANYTHING ELSE: At the moment, I can't come up with anything else... and my brain isn't in 'wordy' mode right now... so yeah, that's it

-------------------------------------------- It was after class, and he really should have just changed back into his won clothes. But he felt even too lazy to do that. Cody just loosened his tie and rolled up his sleeves. At the moment he was sitting in an empty math room, sketching away. No one liked math, he did, but that wasn't the point.
No one would find him here.
Everyone thought he was weird and stupid. He liked math and he liked to draw. he worked with his hands and didn't have much money at all. His mother was a school teacher for gods sakes. The rich kids thought he was so rural because he liked cars and working with his hands more than he liked being on the internet or at concerts. not to mention his French was so dreadful that even a friendly person like him longed to be alone. Longed for it to be quiet where no one wanted anything from him.
Despite himself he began to sing softly under his breath, not really a song, just notes strung together in the air. He had a good voice, probably could go somewhere if he really trained, really tried. But engineering and design kept him busy. He liked it. Artsy and yet... manly. in his mind anyway.

As Theo made her way down the hall, Theo noted the soft sound of someone singing. The sound seemed to be coming from the vocal chords that, if trained properly, could make hearts melt. However, as Theo noted that the voice was male, she figured that her heart wouldn’t be melting anytime soon. She soon registered that it was coming from the Math classroom. ’Why is someone in the Math classroom singing?’ Theo wondered, as she headed for the door to said classroom.
Upon pushing the door open, she noted who was inside. A slow grin curled Theo’s lips, as she entered the room, closing the door behind her with a click. “So it seems we finally meet, your name is Cody, right? It’s surprising that we only meet now, since both of us suck at French,” She said, continuing to grin at him. Perhaps her muse would be inspired at last? -------------------------------------------------------------- OUTFIT: Boy's school uniform TAGGED: Cody WORDS: 185 ANYTHING ELSE: No...

-------------------------------------------- Cody stopped singing abruptly as the door opened. He didn't really sing in from of people. he was the engineer kid, he drew cars and robots in great detail. He measured and calculated and built. he didn't sing. If he did anything artsy it was draw. Singing was a side thing, a semi-secret thing.
How did this person know his name? And frankly he was having trouble figuring out if it was a boy or a girl. the face was kind of girly, but she was in the guy's uniform. And she, if it was a she, wasn't that curvy.
"Yeah, I'm Cody." He said with a little smile. "And you are?" He asked politely, hopefully she'd have a name that would specify a gender for sure so he could stop feeling stupid. And how on Earth did she know that he sucked at french? Did they have a class together? how embarrassing....

Theo grinned. “The name’s Theo,” she said as she walked over to him, her right hand emerging from her pocket as she did so. She offered the hand shake, before commenting, “If you’re wondering how I know you, we have History together. I’m always the one answering the questions that no-one else even understands, let alone knows the answer to. Yeah, I am kinda a History nut.” Theo chuckled, and then allowed silence to reign, or so it would be until Cody said anything else.
She looked him over critically—no she wasn’t checking him out, he’d have to be a girl for her to do that, but she was looking him over to see if they could get along, much in the way she had seen him look at one of his drawings of cars or robots, or whatever he drew. She herself liked cars, but that stemmed from her once-passion of being a racer, but with her eyes she knew it would never happen, so she had settled for her second passions—history and writing. However, if her eyes could be corrected someday, she would like to get a driver’s license and buy herself a really fast car, take it out to the middle of nowhere, and drive as fast as she could—and all to fulfill her slight ‘need for speed’. -------------------------------------------------- OUTFIT: Boy's uniform WORDS: 260 TAGGED: Cody ANYTHING ELSE: No, not right now

-------------------------------------------- Great, Theo.... such a guys name, but there was no way this was a guy... something about the eyes.... Cody squinted his own eyes, unitentionally, trying to think, but he blinked hard. He'd just call her a 'she' in his mind. "Oh right." Cody nodded. She did seem familiar, he wasn't positive, but he'd take her word for it. He came off airly stupid in class because he didn't answer many questions. Well, only in classes where the teachers decided to speak in French. Cody was actually quite smart.
"So... uh... what brings you to the math room?" He asked lightly, shuffling his things together, there was no point in staying, he wasn't alone anymore, so if Theo wanted to walk with him, he could put up with that. But he wasn't leaving his things everywhere for her to see.

Theo shrugged, and as it seemed he wasn’t going to shake her hand, she retracted it and replaced it in her pocket. “Nothing much, really, just… Looking for something to inspire my muse you could say. I finished writing a rough draft of a book yesterday, but I’m not quite happy about it, so I was just wandering around looking for some inspiration to write something… Better, you know?”
The tall brunette posed this question—perhaps it was rhetorical, she didn’t quite know herself—as she fell into step beside Cody. The silence the fell between then after that was not comfortable, but not uncomfortable either; one of those silences where it seems someone is on the verge of speaking. Something then registered in Theo’s mind, and she gave a slight chuckle, before saying, “And, if you’re confused, I am a girl. Just, don’t get your hopes up: I’m gay as they come, my friend.”

-------------------------------------------- He hadn't even realized she'd offered her hand to him until he saw her putting it away. Whoops. She probably thought he was rude now. Great. Just great. He really was going to have no friends. "Oh yeah, I get that." he said with a nod as they made their way out of the classroom.
The silence that was building was sort of tense, but he couldn't think of anything to say when she started to speak and he could only laugh at her words. "Alright." He offered her a smile. He had been pretty sure she was a girl. And if she was, the whole guy's outfit thing made sense if she were gay. He really didn't give a damn who she found attractive, it just didn't matter. People were people.

“What about you? Any girls you like?” Theo questioned in an off-hand manner, raising an eyebrow in askance. She had never really had many friends before, so she was surprised that she hadn’t said anything to drive Cody away yet. She just hoped that things would continue in this manner. Theo then began to hum a tune. It wasn’t soft or lilting in any manner, however it was the sort of upbeat tune that doesn’t get on your nerves but that gets stuck in your head anyways. It was a song by a German group called the ‘Super Moonies’, and it was also one of Theo’s ring-tones for her cell phone. Now it wasn’t that Theo did this to be annoying, she was just bored out of her mind, and the conversation wasn’t going much of anywhere anyways. However, she found Cody to be good company, and could possibly call him now an aquantence. They had a long way to go before Theo would call them friends, but she supposed they were on the right track. --------------------------------------------- OUTFIT: Boy’s School Uniform WORDS: 227 TAGGED: Cody ANYTHING ELSE: What Theo was humming

-------------------------------------------- Cody laughed and shook his head a little. "No, no girls I like right now." He was decently popular--or at least he had been-- most girls here thought it was silly that he couldn't speak French. But people knew him, and liked him sort of. No one was unfriendly. maybe they liked him, he'd never been good with people. He realized he was probably looking off into space and she shook his head and laughed a little at himself. "Sorry, I zoned."
"So you said your French was bad too, where are you from?" Cody asked. She couldn't possibly be from Europe, those were the kids who knew how to speak this language. Americans learned languages terribly, that was his experience anyway. Most American's didn't even speak with correct grammar in their own language. And despite that, he could never imagine being anywhere else. He loved his home.
Cody lossened his tie and took it off, folding it and tucking it in his pocket. Man he hated these uniforms.

“Well, I was born in Woodland Hills, California, but then we moved to Austria, which is where almost all of my Mom’s family lives. We only stayed there for two years, so I don’t really remember it much. We then moved back to the States, and I grew up in Cali. I grew up learning both the Austrian dialect of German and English—German from my Mom’s parents and my Aunt’s family, and English from my parents. Oh, and I also learned Japanese, which is probably part of the reason why I suck at French.” Theo explained, grinning.
Her grin turned into a smirk when she saw Cody take off his tie. “I don’t really mind the uniforms, as I’ve had to deal with them my whole life. Just so long as no-one tries to make me wear the girl’s uniform, I’m good,” she chuckled, and then noted something off-handedly. “Looks like we ended up at the gym.” ----------------------------------------------------------------------- OUTFIT: Boy’s School Uniform WORDS: 200 TAGGED: Cody ANYTHING ELSE: Nope.

-------------------------------------------- Cody laughed. Damn, she'd been everywhere. Cody had never left home, never left the country until he came here. And this was his first year here, as a sophomore. He was so different from anyone else. "I'm from the Ohio." He said with a little laugh. "And I speak English." He was hardly worldly in any sense. He only knew one language, and a little french, a little spanish.
"Yeah well I'm a country kid. I like old jeans and T-shirt, sneakers. Not dress shoes and crisp shirts and ties." He said it just wasn't his idea of an outfit for normal life. A wedding, sure, a fancy party, but day to day? It wasn't comfortable.
"Yeah, I'd die if anyone shoved me into on of those skirts," Cody said with a little wink. Obviously no one would put him in one, she had more of a risk since she was actually a girl, but he got her point.
